If you watch a few different youtube tutorials you will notice that everyone plays the opening beat a little differently.  Some versions will be easier to play than others, so choose the one that you thinks sounds good and work on it until you feel comfortable and can play it up to tempo you need.
The version in this video is a little different from the one on the above sheet.  It might even sound better!  You choose.
